Interest Groups

DWC Interest Groups provide members opportunities to get together and socialize in small groups. The groups are a great way for new members to get to know other club members! Some groups have unlimited sign up, while others are limited in size.

You can sign up for an interest group at club meetings or by contacting the chairperson of the Interest Group Committee directly.

Bunko I

A really fun and easy to learn dice game
Meets on the first Tuesday evening of the month
Each group member takes a turn hosting in their home
Members sign up to bring an appetizer or dessert at least once per year
If a member will miss a meeting, they must find a sub
Fun events include: annual Christmas dinner & white elephant lunch

Bunko II

Each group member takes a turn hosting in their home

The hostess provides snakes and beverages

If a member will miss a meeting, they must find a sub

This group has a door prize drawing for losing players each month

Cooking Club

Members meet once per month to share recipes, have lunch and a few laughs
Each group member takes a turn hosting in their home
Members help the hostess by bringing food to complete the lunch
The hostess for the month provides beverages, reminds members of the meeting and gets RSVPs
Occasionally, monthly meetings are held at an outside cooking class

Movie Group

Members are notified via e-mail about each month's movie selection.
Dates and theatre locations are selected by the movie group coordinator.

Wine Club

The group meets monthly in a member's home, local wine shop, restaurant or club
Each member volunteers to hostess a wine tasting in her home
The hostess for the month provides light snacks and may plan a theme (white only, Ohio wines, reds only, etc.) guests bring wines and glasses
Small tastes of wine will be poured so that everyone can try the wines, comment, take notes - bottoms up or dump it!
